In EU4, religion and culture is something a province has and you change it by spending mana. Imperator's equivalent is pops that grow and decline dynamically based on local conditions, food, war, migration, social mobility, policies, etc. EU4 has development, which is just 3 numbers that you can increase by spending mana. Imperator still fails to do that on almost every account, from everyone of the map being socially divided into the same categories, to armies being way too populous and professional, not forgetting about those hideous religious blobs that don't make any sense for an age when religion was just a part of one's culture, and also incredibly diverse.įor now I can see Imperator evolving like some kind of EU4 game - the problem is that I already own EU4.ĮU4 is a very static world, whereas Imperator feels more like a living world with pops that change on their own.
